Ingredients
Base
- 500ml soya milk (unsweetened)
- 25g oats (rolled or jumbo)
Seeds & Nuts
- 25g flax seeds (ground for better absorption)
- 10g pumpkin seeds
- 4g Brazil nuts (roughly 1 nut)
- 50g almond butter
Superfoods
- 5g cacao powder (raw or unsweetened)
- 10g dried goji berries
- 10g dried cranberries
Fresh & Frozen Fruits
- 50g pineapple (fresh or frozen)
- 50g mango (fresh or frozen)
- 100g black forest fruits (mixed berries: cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants, grapes)
Natural Sweeteners
- 33g dates (pitted, roughly 2-3 Medjool dates)
Method
- Prepare your ingredients: If using whole flax seeds, grind them first for maximum nutrient absorption. Pit your dates and roughly chop if very large.
- Layer your blender: Start with the soya milk at the bottom (this helps the blender run smoothly).
- Add soft ingredients: Add the dates, almond butter, and cacao powder.
- Add seeds and nuts: Add the ground flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, and Brazil nuts.
- Add dried fruits: Throw in the goji berries and cranberries.
- Add oats: Sprinkle the oats on top.
- Add frozen/fresh fruits: Finish with the pineapple, mango, and black forest fruits.
- Blend: Start on low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
- Check consistency: If too thick, add a splash more soya milk. If too thin, add a few more oats or frozen fruit.
